my story

This is a love story that started long ago and far away.

East-Europe, where I have family and friends, where skill & craftmanship is a normal standard and where handmade things are highly estimated. 
As shoes have always been my weak point, in the same way colors and textures are my strong points. In my Lazoulli collection I combine them with great passion and fascination. 

And so the story started.

I was lucky to meet the right people who have the know-how from generations far of creating shoes with good taste. We could sense each other perfectly and in 2018 we went off for a long-term cooperation. Together we create genuine, handmade, all leather shoes, and this in respectful and fair conditions. We print on naturally tanned leather and every pair of shoes is made with the same care. The women who sew them, sing along through the making process. One family.

Thus: handmade in Europe with love, fair trade and in full respect!

Meanwhile I have broadened the collection in our shop with a new passion of mine : handmade bags, made in my workshop. I am fond of the smell and sound of leather under my knife, and I create bags that fit to the shoes! They can be made on order in the colors the customer wants.

Next to that, I have a wide collection of scarves in natural materials, knitted in Flanders.
